Conditions Selihc Health organizes evidence for
For each condition below, the app organizes what you record against the published criteria clinicians use. It does not diagnose any of them.
Connective tissue conditions
- Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and hypermobility spectrum disordersVery flexible joints that hurt, slip or sprain, often with soft, stretchy or fragile skin.
- Classical Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (cEDS)Very stretchy, soft skin that bruises and splits easily and heals into wide, thin scars, often with very flexible joints.
- Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (vEDS)Fragile arteries, bowel and womb that can tear, often with easy bruising and thin skin where veins show clearly.
- Classical-like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (clEDS)Very stretchy, velvety skin that bruises easily and very flexible joints, from a missing protein called tenascin-X.
- Periodontal Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (pEDS)Gum disease and tooth loss that start early, often with easy bruising and brown or purple patches on the shins.
- Cardiac-valvular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (cvEDS)A very rare type of EDS in which heart valves can weaken over time, often with stretchy, thin skin and loose joints.

- Spondylodysplastic Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (spEDS)A rare type of EDS with short height, low muscle tone and bowed arms or legs, with other features that depend on the gene involved.
- Musculocontractural Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (mcEDS)A rare type of EDS with stiff, bent joints and clubfoot at birth, and skin that becomes stretchy and fragile and bruises easily.
- Myopathic Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (mEDS)A rare type of EDS with low muscle tone or small muscles from birth, stiff knees, hips or elbows, and loose finger joints.
- Marfan syndromeA genetic condition of connective tissue that can affect the aorta, the eyes, and the bones and joints.
